Documentation / @etherfold/core / pinnedStreamSeedContentHash

Function: pinnedStreamSeedContentHash()

pinnedStreamSeedContentHash(expected): string

Defined in: packages/core/src/stream/seed.ts:296

A caller's PINNED content hash, checked to be in the rendering this module emits -- and RAISING when it is not.

It lives beside streamSeedContentHash because it is the same decision read backwards: one function writes the rendering and one reads it, so the two cannot drift.

Why this RAISES where everything else about a seed is refused as data

A pin is a BUILD CONSTANT, pasted from what a producer printed, so a malformed one is a programming error at the call site and not an ordinary runtime condition -- the same class as handing an install an unresolved stream config. Reported as data it would arrive as an integrity MISMATCH from every location, which points a developer at the artifact and the host when the fault is in their own source; and it would do so on a path that only runs in a real deployment, since a test that pins a value it just computed can never produce one. Raising names the actual mistake, before anything is fetched.
